Tres Pescado Slam Tournament - Ambergris Caye, Belize

Tres Pescado Slam Tournament - Belize's first fly fishing tournament is scheduled for 20-22 August 2009 and will focus on the saltwater Grand Slam of tarpon, permit and bonefish in and around Ambergris Caye, Belize. The 3-day tournament also includes a casting competition (distance and accuracy) and the first-ever skiff poling competition. The primary objective for this tournament is to gather data on the local population of these three saltwater Grand Slam fish while providing a great way to gather fly fishers from around the world to compete. All proceeds go to local charities and to organizations dedicated to further the protection of these three gamefish species which make up the saltwater Grand Slam.
